Our history
Our story began with shea butter. We are a small family business, and it all started in a rather unexpected way. As a child, I didn't like shea butter at all. Let me tell you why.
Originally from Senegal, I spent my childhood travelling back and forth between France and my homeland. Every time we travelled, my mother would come back with an impressive amount of shea butter. I literally grew up with this product.
What I wanted was the white cream my friends used, the one that smelled good and was easy to apply. Those who are familiar with shea butter know what I'm talking about: the famous intense rubbing of the hands to melt it before applying it. It was a real physical effort, and I had to endure this energetic massage from my mother throughout my childhood.
But as I grew up, I became aware of the incredible benefits of this product. I never had any skin problems, acne or anything else, unlike some of my classmates. That's when I realised the power of this treasure I had always had at my fingertips.
It clicked: it was time to share this treasure. So we started this company with two members of my family for two simple reasons.
1. For a simpler skincare routine. It is essential to take care of yourself and stop using products that are harmful to your skin and hair. I have discovered that shea butter alone can replace several creams (which will free up space in your bathroom cabinet 😅).
Its quality is unrivalled and it simplifies your skincare routine. It is an exceptional natural moisturiser, rich in vitamins A, D, E and F as well as fatty acids. It deeply nourishes the skin and hair while providing protection.
Its protective and restorative properties soothe skin irritations, reduce the appearance of scars and protect the hair fibre from external aggressions. It preserves the skin's elasticity and restores shine and softness to the hair, making it a complete and versatile skincare product.
2. To promote an ancestral treasure. It was essential for me to promote this treasure for its true value. First and foremost, this means recognising the African origins of shea butter and the tremendous work of the women who produce it. This is our way of rejecting the cultural and commercial appropriation that has often characterised the Western cosmetics industry. On our small scale, we ensure that the profits directly benefit the communities that cultivate this treasure.
This is the commitment we make with this brand: to value the work of those who, for generations, have preserved and passed on this treasure.
Our range continues to grow! Discover new products, with the same commitment to superior quality.
